Reiki is a holistic complementary treatment that supports the body’s natural healing abilities. This can be the energy body and the physical body. What you usually find is that when there’s an unchecked disturbance in the energy body it will eventually manifest itself as dis-ease in the physical body.
Reiki originated in Japan in the 20th century, its founder was Mikao Usui. The meaning of the word Reiki is:
REI = Universal
KI = Life Force Energy
The art of Reiki was brought to the West by Madam Takata, who was also the first woman practitioner. The healing art of Reiki is now practised all over the world.
How It Works
I channel Reiki to you using a series of hand positions and hand-drawn symbols. I’m drawn to the area or areas that need the greatest attention, facilitated by Byosen scanning. Once these areas have been located I’ll use a combination of a hands-on / hands-off approach to channel the Reiki. During this practise I’ll also ensure all of your seven major chakras are cleared.
The experience is usually very relaxing and you may fall asleep during the session. You remain fully clothed throughout whilst laying or sitting, whichever is most comfortable for you.
I suggest aftercare instructions at the end of each session to enable you to fully benefit from the received treatment.
The benefits of receiving Reiki are many. Clients report feeling relaxed, calm, sleeping better, and that tightness in areas like the chest, neck and shoulders significantly reduces or disappears altogether.
Pent up emotions and vibrational energy are also released. These usually manifest through tears or laughter, tummy gurgles, gentle leg twitches or yawns. Clients aren’t usually aware that these blockages exist and feel so much better afterwards.

For animal treatments, I’ll visit them in their own environment, as animals as more secure and receptive in their own surroundings.
For those with mobility issues who’d still prefer an in person session, I can offer these locally in your own home. Please contact me to discuss your specific needs.
